Types of Hypnotherapy

There are different types of hypnotherapy that are used to target different issues. Here’s a brief rundown of the three methods our therapists employ.

SUGGESTION HYPNOTHERAPY (CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY)

Most types of hypnotherapy use suggestion techniques to gently communicate positive messages to your subconscious. These suggestions are used to help alter thought patterns which enables you to change habits, overcome anxiety and reduce stress.

“Hypnosis is a normal and natural way of knowing your inner self and augmenting it with virtues like self-belief.”
— Dr Prem Jagyasi

TIME LINE THERAPY™

Time Line Therapy™ is based on the premise that our memories are stored in a linear order (i.e. a timeline). Therapists who use this method address your past experiences using hypnotherapy techniques to help you release the limiting beliefs and negative emotions linked to your past experiences.

This approach is usually most helpful for people struggling with depression, anxiety and stress, but it can be used for a variety of different issues.

HYPNOANALYSIS

Considered to be the most advanced form of therapeutic hypnosis and sometimes referred to as Medical Hypnosis, it is a structured approach to identifying the root of the problem instead of just relieving symptoms. Most clients experience significant relief from their symptoms in 6 - 10 sessions.

Issues that Hypnoanalysis can help to alleviate:

  • Panic attacks

  • General anxiety

  • Phobias

  • Stress

  • Alcohol addiction

  • Eating disorders

  • Insomnia

  • Gambling addiction

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Guilt

  • Low-self confidence

“Since most problems are created by our imagination and are thus imaginary, all we need are imaginary solutions.”
— Richard Bandler, co-creator of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
